Funeral services for Rayford “Ray” Miles Caldwell, age 75, of Five Points, AL, will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 2:00 PM EST at New Hope Baptist Church in Fredonia with Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 13, 2020. Mr. Caldwell will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Mr. Caldwell passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia. He is survived by wife, Mildred Caldwell of Five Points; daughter, Anita Cooper (Mike) of Five Points; son Rayford A. Caldwell of Five Points; grandchildren, Dylan Beck and Kersten Brown; and great grandchildren, Adalyn Brown and Audrey Brown. Pallbearers will be Dylan Beck, Michael Cooper, Michael Etress, Lee Brown, Timothy Duffie, and Jimmy Holloway. A Chambers County native, Mr. Caldwell was born August 15, 1944, the son of George William and Ethel Benefield Caldwell. He worked in construction with Knight and Knight Construction.
