Obituary Graveside services for John Huddleston, age 53, of Roanoke, AL will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Ricky Cummings and Bro. Fred Flowers officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Huddleston passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at his residence. He is survived by his son Krymson Huddleston; two stepchildren, Haydenn Wilkerson and Ethan Wilkerson; one step granddaughter, Aria Wilkerson; his mother, Irene Huddleston; two sisters, Sara (Ricky) Cummings and Rebecca Burk; nieces and nephews, Rocco Romeo, Tiffine Cummings, and Elizabeth Cummings; two great nieces and two great nephews. John always said that women had carried him through his life. In consideration of this, the family has selected female pallbearers to carry him one last time. Those pallbearers will be Irene Huddleston, Sara Cummings, Brenda Flowers, Jane Strickland, Heather Huddleston, and Wanda Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Puckett, Brandon Taylor, Rickie Taylor, Jimmy Vines, Rocco Romeo, Fred Flowers, Cameron Asbell, Chance Cummings, Gary Wright, and Johnathan Kitchens. A lifelong Roanoke resident, Mr. Huddleston was born on December 9, 1966, the son of Irene Brinkley Huddleston. He was employed as a truck driver through his company Big Game Trucking. Mr. Huddleston was Christian by faith and was a member of Souls Harbour where he enjoyed being an active with his church family. John was very involved with drag racing and love every aspect of the sport. When he wasn’t racing or on the road, he enjoyed playing with his dogs, but most importantly, he cherished the time he was able to spend with his beloved son, Krymson. John will always be remembered as a man who never met a stranger and a man who always had the ability to keeps those around him laughing. Mr. Huddleston was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brasley and Altus Huddleston and Daisy and Lee Brinkley, an uncle, Bobby Huddleston, and a close cousin, John David Kitchens.
