Ms. Sherry Bowen, age 68, of Roanoke, AL passed away Friday, April 3, 2020, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, GA. The family will have a private funeral service and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kristi Traylor (Jason) of Shaprsburg, GA; grandchildren, Paisley Traylor and Tilley Traylor; sisters, Martha “Tootsie” Jeter and Barbara Hester, both of Roanoke; brothers, Hoyt Bowen, Jr. (Margaret) of Anniston, AL and Tony Bowen of Las Vegas, NV.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Ms. Bowen was born in Lafayette, Alabama, on December 3, 1951 the daughter of Hoyt, Sr. and Etha Mae Langley Bowen. She was a member of Lowell United Methodist Church and retired as a Social Worker for Randolph County DHR. Ms. Bowen was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra Christopher.
