Winfred Page Enloe, Jr., a Roanoke, Alabama native, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the age of 96.
Mr. Enloe was born on December 22, 1923. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Winfred Page Enloe, Sr., and Mary Jane Enloe, and his sister, Gladys Enloe Hall. Mr. Enloe is survived by his sister, Dorothy Enloe Goodson of Ormond Beach, FL, and his seven nieces and nephews, Page Goodson, Jane Bluestein, Leigh Harris, Charles L. Goodson, Jr., Richard Hall, Elizabeth Hall Lusht, and Paige Hall Moore.
Mr. Enloe was a proud World War II veteran who was awarded 2 Bronze Stars. He served his country as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corp as a fighter pilot in the South Pacific. After graduating from Clemson University, he was employed at Handley Mills. Later, he was self-employed in screen printing and real estate businesses. Mr. Enloe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke.
Due to the Covid-19 coronavirus, a private service will be held at a later date.
