Obituary of Lura Ann Norred

Graveside services for Lura Ann Norred, age 70, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Shannon Mapp and Bro. David Glass officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Norred passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Craven of Roanoke; two daughters, Patty Ussery (Jamie) and Kim Towler (Chris), both of Roanoke; three sons, Chuckie Norred (Angie), Jamie Norred (Shelia), and Derick Norred (Tracy), all of Roanoke; three stepsons, Thomas Lee Craven, Lamar Craven, and Michael Craven, all of Roanoke; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Burke of Roanoke; and brother, Michael Henderson of Dallas, TX. Pallbearers will be Todd Parrish, Tommy Burke, Jr., Gerald Mitchell, Kenny Ray Calhoun, Russell Norred, and Mike Brewer. A Roanoke native, Mrs. Norred was born on April 5, 1950, the daughter of Charlie Clarence Young and Eula Mae Mitchell. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was a housewife. Mrs. Norred was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ronnie Norred; and stepmother, Mabeline Young.
