Obituary of Willie Frank Patterson

Graveside services for Willie Frank “Franky” Patterson, age 67, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Kenneth Fuller and Rev. Derek Farr officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Patterson passed away Monday, April 20, 2020, at Tanner Medical Center of East Alabama in Wedowee. Survivors include his wife, Linda Patterson of Roanoke; daughters, Kelli Hendon (John) and Jill Hicks (Neil); grandchildren, Kate Hendon and Will Hicks; mother, Mary R. Hall of Roanoke; brother, Johnny Patterson (Linda) of Mellow Valley and faithful companion, Rose. Pallbearers will be Michael Cleveland, Tanner Cleveland, John Patterson, Kevin Ogilvie, Butch Davis, Bo Brown, Chris Phillips, and Timothy “Pee Wee” Terry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Waters and Chris Williamson. A Roanoke resident, Mr. Patterson was born in Ashland, AL on January 15, 1953, the son of Arthur, Jr. and Mary Roland Patterson. He was a Christian by faith and retired as a locomotive engineer for CSX. Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his father; sister, Elaine Kennedy, and brother, Joe Patterson.
