Obituary of Mike Smith

Graveside services for Mike Smith, age 57, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Bill Calhoun officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Smith passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020. Survivors include his daughter, Harley Smith Cummings of Roanoke; sons, Corey Smith, Timothy Smith, and Lance Smith, all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Landon Smith, Bryson Cummings, Addie Norris, Cayden Smith, Colt Cummings, Ryder Smith, Dawson Smith, Michael Finn Cummings, Emma Smith, and River Smith; father, Larry Smith of Roanoke; sister, Crystal Smith of Roanoke; companion Carly Moore; niece, Bailee Pitchford and nephew, Brayden Rampy. Pallbearers will be Roger Hester, Rusty Nix, Timmy Smith, Brandon Taylor, Corey Smith, and Phillip Schupp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Wier, Stan Coleman, Ricky Taylor, and Craig Calhoun. A Roanoke resident, Mr. Smith was born in Franklin, GA on March 30, 1963, the son of Larry and Peggy Burks Smith. He was a member of Cornerstone Church. He was the owner of Smith Garage and a member of the Rock Mills VFD. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Smith and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Burks and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Smith.
