Graveside services for Sara Nell Pitts Crenshaw, age 83, of Five Points will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM CST at Five Points Belcher Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Anderson and Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Crenshaw passed away Monday, May 4, 2020, at Traylor’s Nursing Center. Survivors include: three daughters, Susan Pike of Valley, Tammy Browning (Matt) of LaGrange, GA, and Sherri Abernathy (John) of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Kerri Williams (Ronnie), Katti Pike, Emily Browning, Zachery Browning, and Autumn Abernathy; and two great-grandchildren, Gracie Carpenter and Christopher Williams (Jordan). A Chambers County native, Mrs. Crenshaw was born on July 27, 1936, the daughter of Grady and Vera Harris Pitts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmutt and worked in customer service for West Point Pepperell Mill Store. She was a former member of Five Points Baptist Church and was an influential member of the community there for over 50 years. Mrs. Crenshaw was a member of Valley Senior Citizens, quilted with the West Point Senior Citizen’s Club, and volunteered for Chattahoochee Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Cecil T. Crenshaw; and brother, Grady Pitts, Jr. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are still providing services under the CDC’s guidelines. However, we kindly ask that the graveside service be reserved for family only. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
