Memorial services for James Lee Gay, age 72, of Franklin, GA, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Chestnut officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
Mr. Gay passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Abernathy of Glenn, GA; three sons, James Curtis Gay of Pensacola, FL, Earnest “Bubba” Willam Gay of Lagrange, GA, and James Earnest Brown of Glenn, GA; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Troup County native, Mr. Gay was born on November 18, 1947, the son of Earnest and Ara Brown Gay. He was a technician at Tencate Textile Mills. Mr. Gay was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mae Pierce and Louise Kausch; and two brothers, Earnest Mack Gay and David Edward Gay.
