Obituary of William Deryle Petty

OBITUARY Funeral services for, William Deryle Petty, age 57, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bud Stiltner and Rev. E. C. Chatham officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Mr. Petty died, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his home. Mr. Petty is survived by his wife, Joyce Mayton Petty of Roanoke; three children, Crystal (husband Jason) J. Osborne of Douglasville, GA, April Carlyle of Georgia, Allison Johnson of Missouri; four sons, Billy(wife Kristine) Petty of Madison, GA, Tony Carlyle of Florida, Rob(wife Rachel) Carlyle of Winder, GA, Jason Carlyle of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Ryan Osborne, Justin Osborne, Brittany McDougal, Chase Petty, Emma Petty, Hunter Lowe, Michael Jones, Jade Jones; step-dad, Paul Watkins; two sisters, Carolyn Grant of Smyrna, GA, Judy Chester of Georgia; four brothers, Pat Petty of Atlanta, GA, Ronnie Petty of Georgia, Jerry Petty of Georgia, Eddy Petty of Georgia. Mr. Petty was born, July 26, 1954, the son of Peyton and Nellie Pearl Beal Petty. He was a member of Community Baptist in College Park, GA, and had been a truck driver for Mohawk Industries. Mr. Petty was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dennis and Phillip Petty. Flowers will be accepted or donations to ones favorite charity.
