A Chambers County native, Mrs. Yarbrough was born on February 12, 1919, the daughter of James W. and Rena Hildebrand Osborne. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was not only a charter member but also their oldest living member, and she worked at Belk’s in Roanoke from the time it opened until the day it closed. Mrs. Yarbrough wrote a community interest column for The Randolph Leader for several years and was an avid collector and loved a good yard sale, as evidenced by her home. She was a wonderful cook and her grandsons, Tommy and Max, loved nothing more than to tell the other one that Nannie made them roast with rice and gravy.
Mrs. Yarbrough was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Weymon Durell McDaniel; her second husband, Hugh Price Yarbrough; and a son, Mike McDaniel.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
