OBITUARY Funeral services for Richard Thomas Kelley, age 42, of Five Points, will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at 11:00 am (Central time) from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Methodist Church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke, in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm (Central time) on Tuesday, September 27th. Mr. Kelley died Sunday, September 25, 2011, at his home. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Debra and Thomas Hudson of Five Points; father, and step-mother, William "Billy" and Sharon Kelley of Salem; two daughters, Torie Hopkins (Chuck) of Troy and Caylee Nix of LaGrange, Ga.; two sons, Austin Kelley of Columbus, Ga. and Tre Nix of LaGrange; step-daughter, Jordi Jernigan of Phenix City; one grandson, Bryant Hopkins; grandmother, Sue Hudson of Five Points; one brother, Mark Kelley of LaGrange; one step-brother, Mitchell "Bubba" Hudson of LaGrange, Ga.; two step-sisters, Monica Harper of Valley and Mitzi Hudson of Iowa; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him very much. Pallbearers will be Michael Williams, Daniel Williams, Brian Vanmeter, ____________________. A Chambers County native, Mr. Kelley was born February 7, 1969. He was Baptist by faith and had worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Shirley Nelson and Donald Crenshaw and his paternal grandparents, Joyce Scott and Idus Kelley.
