OBITUARY Funeral services for, Mrs. Julia Davidson Browning, age 84, of Grand Bay, formerly of Randolph and Clay Counties, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2011, from the Benefield Funeral Chapel, Wedowee, with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial to follow in Lineville City Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Benefield Funeral Home on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Mrs. Browning died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. Mrs. Browning is survived by two daughters, Patricia (husband Gary) Lambert of Mobile, Pamela (husband Buddy) Merritt of Irvington; two sons, Jim (wife Patsy) Brown of Roanoke, Wayne Brown of Theodore; one brother, Billy Wayne(wife Dot) Davidson of Ashland; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeff Brown, Kelly Brown, Elvis Brown, Myles Lambert, Jeffrey Willis, Joseph Willis and Troy Turner. Mrs. Browning was born, May 28, 1927, the daughter of Arthur N. and Mary Etta Price Davidson. She had worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach. Mrs. Browning was preceded in death by her husband, Willard D. Browning; one son, Clayton E "Gene" Brown; one grandson, Michael Dave Davis; two sisters, Gladys Poore and Hazel Gillham; two brothers, James H. Davidson and John Henry Davidson.
