OBITUARY Funeral services for, Patricia Lynn Woody Veal, age 64, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2011, from the Forest Home Christian Church with Rev. Cecil Halsey and Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating. Mrs. Veal will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Mrs. Veal died, Monday, October 10, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Veal is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Latrese Veal Ordonez of Roanoke, Catherine Veal Owensby of LaGrange, GA; one son, Julian Lamar Veal, Jr. of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Jessica Daniel Veal, Julian Lamar Veal, III, Jeremy Veal, Lance Marable, Justice Marable; four great grandchildren, Bronson Veal, L. J. Marable, B. J. Marable, Brylee Veal; one brother, Robert E. Woody of LaGrange, GA. Pallbearers will be Dean Peace, Aaron Woody, Julian Lamar Veal, III, Jeremy Veal, Lance Marable, Justice Marable. Honorary pallbearers will be Bronson Veal, L. J. Marable, B. J. Marable. Mrs. Veal was born, October 30, 1946, the daughter of Aaron Augustus and Mary Evelyn Davis Woody. She was a member of Forest Home Christian Church, a Pink Lady at West Georgia Health Systems and had been a prep cook for Gedney's Restaurant. Mrs. Veal was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Lamar Veal, SR; her parents; one nephew, Gerry Peace. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
