Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth Waldrep

Funeral services for Nancy Elizabeth Waldrep, age 88, of Wadley will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Broughton with Rev. Billy Allen and Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020.  Mrs. Waldrep will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday.

Mrs. Waldrep passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020.

Survivors include: one son, Tommy Waldrep (Stacy) of Wadley; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Mary Smith of Manchester, GA.

Pallbearers will be Kimberly Waldrep, Dolly Harper, Karissa Harper, Amanda Loyd, Heather Caldwell, and Dawn Waldrep.  Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Ettie and Shane Harper.

A Wadley native, Mrs. Waldrep was born on August 24, 1932, the daughter of Joel C. and Lelie Johnson Smith.  She was Baptist by faith and worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach.  Mrs. Waldrep was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Waldrep; daughter, Dianne Windsor; and son, Leonard Waldrep.
