Obituary of Freddy Wayne Windsor
Funeral services for Freddy Wayne Windsor, age 72, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Christian Church with Bro. Roger Florence and Bro. Bill Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-2:00 on Friday before services begin.
Mr. Windsor passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Windsor of Roanoke; two daughters, Elena Wulff (Todd) and Erin Guy, both of Roanoke; two sons, Daniel Dudley (Megan) of Woodbury, TN, and Charles Dudley of Baxter, TN; nine grandchildren, Arainna Dudley, Allie Knott, Addly Dudley, Alyssa Dudley, Stephen Dudley, Breanna Nicholson (Tommy Kirby), Brandon Nicholson, Jessica Johnson (Brad), and Caitlin Mejia; 8 great grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Windsor (Vicki) of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Bill Calhoun, Wayne Windsor, Daniel Dudley, Charles Dudley, Thomas Barresi, and Jim Wilburn.
A Roanoke native, Mr. Windsor was born on August 30, 1948, the son of Henry Clay Windsor, Jr., and Susie Virginia Poor Windsor. He worked as a carpenter by trade and loved fishing and hunting, guns, horses, and the CB radio where many knew him by his CB handle “Naildriver.” Mr. Windsor also loved Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Korbin Dudley; and daughter, Lynn Johnson.
The family has requested that everyone in attendance to please wear a face covering.
