Obituary of Judy Bassett Brandon

Funeral services for Judy Bassett Brandon, age 77, of Forest Park, GA, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Broughton with Rev. Joel Stewart and Rev. Billy Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM on Thursday before services begin.

Mrs. Brandon passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert Brandon of Forest Park, GA; four daughters, Vicky Holmes (Shelby) of McDonough, GA, Teresa Neese of White, GA, Phyllis Brandon of Griffin, GA, and Lisa Brandon of Cumming, GA; one son, Mark Cunningham (Tammy) of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Megan Baker (Josh), Karlee Cunningham, Kip Holmes (Emily), Amber Scruggs (Will), and Chase Holmes; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Denise Varnadoe (Lynn) of Hampton, GA; and one brother, Ernie Bassett (Kirstie) of Luthersville, GA.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Brandon was born on March 7, 1943, the daughter of Warner Woodfin and Mary Jim Reaves Bassett.  She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Forest Park, GA, and was a housewife.  Mrs. Brandon was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Harold Lee Cunningham.
