Funeral Services for Dolphus R. Hester age 90 of Roanoke will be held Tuesday November 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Dr. Derrick Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens.
Mr. Hester passed away Saturday November 5, 2011 at Twin Fountains in LaGrange, Ga.
Mr. Hester is survived by a daughter Pam Bacon of LaGrange, Ga; one grandson Brandon Hester of LaGrange, Ga; two brothers Doyle Hester of Phenix City and Charlie Will Hester of Anniston. Special friends Kelvin and Thelma Sledge, Buck and Jane Norred, and Derrick and Carol Lewis. Caregiver Cece Williams.
Mr. Hester was born November 16, 1920 the son of Larkin and Nettie Bowen Hester. He was retired as owner of Deluxe Dry Cleaners. He was a veteran of World war II serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pauline Hester, two sons Anthony and Phil Hester.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home on Monday November 7, 2011 from 5 till 7 PM.
