Obituary of Larry Paschal Whaley
Funeral services for Larry Paschal Whaley, age 72, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
Mr. Whaley passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Traylor’s Nursing Home.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah E. “Libby” Whaley of Roanoke; one granddaughter, Alissa Elliott (Lane) of Lineville; one grandson, Drew Smith of Hogansville, GA; two great-grandchildren, Tate Elliott and Chet Elliott; and one sister, Diane Jones of Georgia.
Mr. Whaley’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Whaley was born in Roanoke, Alabama, on January 31, 1948, the son of Lon Whaley and Irene Burke Hunt. He was a machinist for West Point Foundry and retired from Alabama National Guard. Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Chastity Whaley Smith; son, Robbie Whaley and brother, Danny Whaley.
