Funeral services for Rev. Louie Lenn Martin, age 72, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Barnett and Rev. Howard Longshore.  Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Rev. Martin passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Willardean “Dean” Martin of Roanoke; two daughters, Davina Story (Phillip) of Palmetto, GA, and Sonya Howell (Wylie) of Clearwater, FL; one son, Weylin Martin of Carrollton, GA; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronnie Martin of Austell, GA.

An Atlanta native, Rev. Martin was born on February 18, 1948, the son of James and Bessie Martin.  He was Baptist by faith and preached at Union Hill Baptist Church, Stovall Baptist Church, and Bible Way Baptist Church.  Rev. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and five brothers.

Per the family’s request, everyone who attends the visitation/funeral service is asked to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.  Also, temperatures will be checked to protect the immune-compromised.
