Obituary of Mary Nell Brown
Funeral services for Mary Nell Brown, age 83, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Derek Farr and Bro. Parker Barber officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 7th.
Mrs. Brown died February 5, 2021, at University Hospital – Birmingham.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Brown of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Rodney Duane Brown, Benji Brown and Daniel Brown; and one sister, Janice Bradley of West Point, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Parker Barber, Mike Owens, Daniel Brown, Benji Brown, Rodney Duane Brown and Micah Farr.
A Chambers County native, Mrs. Brown was born December 23, 1937, the daughter of Mather Leon and Jewell Smith Gordon. She was a homemaker and a member of Heritage Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emory Brown; son, Steve Brown; three sisters, Mary Ellen Bennett, Myrtle Edwards and Laura Mae Knight; three brothers, Wendell Gordon, Eulas Gordon and Billy Mather Gordon.
