OBITUARY
Graveside services for Mary Lemerle Sims, age 65, of Roanoke, will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at 2:00 pm from Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Cleve Moore and Rev. Johnny Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 5th.
Mrs. Sims died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Roanoke Health Care.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherri Traylor (Robert) of Roanoke; one son, Todd Sims of Wetumpka; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stan Burnette, Melvin Pike, Leroy Pike, Donnie Pike, Jason Pike and Mark Pike. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Pike, Bannon Dabbs, Ryan Hart, Ray Dabbs, Billy Joe Fetner and Jimmy Fitzgerald.
A Dadeville native, Mrs. Sims was born July 16, 1946, daughter of Russell and Mary Cosley Pike. She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church and had been employed with Amaco Fabrics & Fibers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Sims; three brothers and a sister.
