Obituary of James E Doan, Jr.
Graveside services for James Edgar Doan Jr., age 82, of Woodland formerly of Mobile, will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, with Rev. David Hudson officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Doan passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Doan of Woodland, sons, James E. “Jimmy” Doan III of Mobile and Kevin A. (Janet) Iosty of Woodland: three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a son-in-law, John Williams of Huntsville, Al.
Mr. Doan was a native of Vernon, Texas, the son of James E. Doan Sr. and Veda Harvey Doan. Mr. Doan was retired from Scott Paper Company and had served in the U. S. Coast Guard. He was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church in Mobile. He loved his family and being outdoors. Mr. Doan was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Patricia Ann Doan, a daughter, Lee Ellen Doan Williams, and a sister, Charlene Perella.
