Obituary of Virginia C. Benefield
Graveside services for Virginia C. Benefield, age 96, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Jamie Taylor and Bro. Tyler Worthy officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home will be in charge of the service.
Mrs. Benefield passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Traylor Health and Retirement Home in Roanoke.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Pam Benefield of Roanoke; son, Richard Benefield (Karen) of Enterprise, MS; grandson, Daniel Benefield of Enterprise, MS; two great-grandchildren, John Benefield and Sadie Benefield; sister, Sue Taft of Roanoke; and a chosen son, Kevin Muldrew (Jan) of Roanoke.
A Troup County, Georgia, native, Mrs. Benefield was born June 8, 1924, the daughter of Luther Cato, Sr., and Corrie Walters Cato. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Framaway Company and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manley Benefield; son, Alan Benefield; and brothers, Charles E. Cato and Luther Cato, Jr.
