OBITUARY Funeral services for, Everett John Howe, age 72, of Wadley, will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, December 12, 2011, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Thompson Pitts, Rev. Tim Craft, and Rev. Mickey Vaughn officiating. Burial to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Vernon Lashley, Dale Knight, Kenneth Adamson, Bill Owens, Lamar Evans, Waylon Wheeles, Russell Norred and Andy Wilkerson. Mr. Howe died, Saturday, December 10, 2011, at East Alabama Medical Center. Mr. Howe is survived his wife, Janelle Maxwell Howe of Wadley; three sons, Eric (wife Amy) Howe of Opelika, Phillip "Corky" Howe of Wadley, Jason (wife Laura Nan) Howe of Opelika; six grandchildren; six sisters, Helen Ziglar, Mary Patchett, Clara Johnson, Ruth Hughes all of Butte, MT; Margaret Knutson of Colstrip, MT, Bridget Tucker of Florence, AZ; one brother, Harvey Howe of Butte, MT. Mr. Howe was born, October 13, 1939, the son of Louis and Romana Rogers Howe. He was a member and deacon of the Malone Baptist Church, had worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for eight years, was owner of Howe Pools for thirty-four years, and an avid farmer. Mr. Howe also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Howe; one sister, Agnes Greenberg.
