Obituary of Ralph Lynn Chase

Funeral services for Ralph Lynn Chase, age 89, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cannon officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday before services begin.

Mr. Chase passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Chase of Wedowee; one son, Mark Chase (Jan) of Waynesboro, VA; two step-daughters, Sonya Eason (Robert) and Kira Williams (Doug), both of Wedowee; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bennie Ruth Chase Harper of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Bill Foster, Dennis Hollis, Ed Harris, Michael Rice, Robie Harper, and Chris Chase.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Chase was born on December 11, 1931, the son of Benjamin Norman and Julia Rose Etta Anderson Chase.  He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a United States Army veteran of the Korean conflict, and worked in maintenance at Five Star Mobile Homes.  Mr. Chase was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Dawn Chase and Marsha Chase; two sisters, Sara Jewell Chase Cook and Thelma Alene Chase Hester; and two brothers, Norman Chase and Rudolph Chase.
