Obituary of Cappie Vaughn Carlisle

Funeral services for Cappie Vaughn Carlisle, age 69, of Wadley will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Vaughn and Rev. Tim Calloway officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM On Thursday, April 22, 2021.  Mrs. Carlisle will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Friday.

Mrs. Carlisle passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include: two daughters, Carla Robinson (Rick) of Roanoke and Summer Thornton (Brandon) of Rock Mills; one son, Phillip Albright of Wadley; grandchildren, Dusty Cole (Lindsay) of Roanoke, Cassie Cole (Gage Ogle) of Milltown, Cash Loyd, Skyler Loyd, and Thor Carlisle, all of Rock Mills; great-grandchildren, Kyler Ogle and Clate Ogle, both of Milltown; and one brother, Mickey Vaughn (Jennifer) of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Cole, Gage Ogle, Brandon Thornton, Ken Vaughn, Clemente Tecla, and Zeb Vaughn.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Carlisle was born on February 20, 1952, the daughter of Thomas Carl and Mary Lou Smith Vaughn.  She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and worked at Candlewick.  Mrs. Carlisle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Carlisle; brother, Ben Vaughn; and sister, Julie Marie Vaughn.
