OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Clyde H. Melton, age 72, of Opelika, will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, January 13, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Burial to follow in Concord Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2012.
Pallbearers will be Pee Wee Terry, Billy Watson, Alan Marshall, Ed Marshall, Chris Poore and Lee Bennett.
Mr. Melton died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Traylor Nursing Home.
Mr. Melton is survived by one sister, Shirley Hawkins of Lineville; two brothers, Billy Melton of Atlanta, TX, Danny Melton of Atlanta, TX.
Mr. Melton was born February 6, 1939, the son of George and Necie Wood Melton. He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary Ann Lane Melton and Virginia Louise Craven Melton; his parents; one sister, Wilma Jean Kennedy.
