Obituary of Benjamin T. "Tommy" Adamson
Funeral services for Benjamin T. “Tommy” Adamson, age 65, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Brewer, Bro. David Taft and Bro. Tim Whaley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Mr. Adamson passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Arrington Adamson; daughter, Caysie Adamson Cook (Michael) of Roanoke; son, Chase Adamson (Jennifer) of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Jordan Cook, Caylie Cook, Christopher Cook, CaLynne Cook, Chasiti Adamson, Abbi Adamson and Myleigh Adamson; mother, Virginia Adamson of Roanoke; sister, Barbara Jean Arrington of Roanoke; and brother, Willis Adamson (Dana) of Roanoke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Arrington, Tim Arrington, Bradley Diamond, Hal Arrington, Chris Williamson, Holly Murr, Michael Cook, Ben Murr, and Anthony Gosdin.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Adamson was born on March 21, 1956, the son of Milam Willis Adamson, Sr., and Virginia Robinson Adamson. Mr. Adamson was a member of Roanoke Church of Christ and was a supervisor for Piedmont Mechanical. He loved to hunt and fish and loved everything to do with outdoors. Mr. Adamson enjoyed working on his farm. He also enjoyed crawfishing. Mr. Adamson was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Lori Beth Adamson; and son, Christopher Ryan Adamson.
