Graveside services for Iva L. Clark-Pilgrim, age 89, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Shirley Meddick and Bro. Scott Whaley officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday before services begin.

Ms. Clark-Pilgrim passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include: three nephews, Ronnie Clark, Sr. (Donna), Larry Brown (Betty), and Garfield Clark (Paulette), all of Roanoke; step-nieces, Eunice Block of Ohio and Peggy Hill of Wedowee; and a step-nephew, Rayford Mitchell of Roanoke.

A Randolph County native, Ms. Clark-Pilgrim was born on September 15, 1931, the daughter of Thomas Edward and Connie Mae Florence Clark.  She was a member of Lowell United Methodist Church and worked as a property manager for apartment complexes. Ms. Clark-Pilgrim lived in Houston, TX, for 25 years before moving back to Roanoke in 1990.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, E. G. Clark and Leo Clark; and a sister, Vera Brown.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations in her memory be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
