Obituary of Wilbur H. Steward
Funeral services for Wilbur H. Steward, age 93, of Roanoke, will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Richie Farrow and Bro. Clayton Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
Mr. Steward passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 29th.
Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Steward of Roanoke; two brothers, Jack Steward of Loganville, GA and Thomas Steward of Lewisburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.
A Butler County native, Mr. Steward was born December 24, 1927, the son of Robert Wood and Madie Fussell Steward. He was a WWII veteran, a member of Springfield Baptist Church and had retired from Alabama Power Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Steward; two brothers, William Earl Steward and Ted Shannon Steward.
