Obituary of Jeffery Wade Smallwood

Funeral services for Jeffery Wade Smallwood “Paw Paw”, age 62, of Ranburne, formerly of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 4th.

Mr. Smallwood passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at Noland Hospital in Anniston.

Survivors include his wife, Missy Smallwood of Ranburne; one daughter, Charlyne Elkins of Wadley; three stepdaughters, Tiffany Nelson of Roanoke, Denise Gaddy of LaGrange, GA and Samantha Decker of Ranburne; two stepsons, Chris Williamson of Roanoke and Billy Haynes of Anniston; 14 grandchildren. Ashley Burnett, Derreck Gilley, Dylan Gilley, Stiles Williamson, Sierra Williamson, Jake Overton, Zach Nelson, Bekah Nelson, Dakota Pike, Robert Elkins, Brianna Elkins, Michael Decker, Adam Haynes, Corey Haynes; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Smallwood was born July 4, 1959, in Atlanta, the son of Charles Samuel and Faye Martin Smallwood.  He was a self-employed electrician.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sylvia Smallwood; two brothers, Mike Smallwood and Lamar Smallwood.
