Obituary of Brant Steen

Funeral services for Brant Steen, age 60, of Franklin, Georgia, will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 1:00 PM CST at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Stanley Yarbrough officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM CST on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

Mr. Steen passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospital in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Steen of Franklin; one son, Justin Brant Steen (Kristie) of Franklin, GA; one daughter, Emily Cummings of Franklin, GA; five grandchildren, Daisy Steen, Kristian Garrison, Addisyn Cummings, Annsley Cummings, and Austin Burgans; and two sisters, April McCullough (Jeff) of Woodland and Bridgett Tankersley of Opelika.

Pallbearers will be Josh Bolan, Jody McCollough, Jacob Loveless, Zack Laws, Devin Bolan, and Shaun Bolan.  Honorary pallbearers will be the men and women of the Heard County Emergency Services.

A Chambers County native, Mr. Steen was born on March 13, 1961, the son of George Brant Steen, Sr., and Frances Freeman Steen.  He was a member of Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and was employed with Heard County as an EMT/Firefighter for 42 years.  Mr. Steen loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, and fishing, and he loved his grandbabies.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
