Obituary of Charles Lewis Adams

Memorial services for Charles Lewis Adams, age 82, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Brewer and Bro. David Taft officiating.  A small graveside to honor his life will be held directly after the service at 7053 County Road 16, Roanoke, AL 36274.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday before services begin.

Mr. Adams passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his home.

Survivors include: one daughter, Charlotte Adams Finver of Boca Raton, FL; two sons, David Adams (Tamela) and Daniel Hudson Adams (Audrey), both of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Megan Finver, Jared Finver, and Kaitlyn Adams; and two special granddaughters, Lillie Brown and Mattie Brown.

A Heard County, Georgia native, Mr. Adams was born on November 28, 1938, the son of Lewis Calvin Adams, Jr., and Catherine Ruby Hudson.  He attended Glenn Independent Methodist Church, was the owner/operator of Alabama Repair Service diesel mechanic shop, and was a member of the Rock Mills Volunteer Fire Department for 42 years.  Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Geneva Adams; and a sister, Emily Adams Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like any memorials in Mr. Adams’ memory be made to the Rock Mills Volunteer Fire Department c/o Head Monument at 60 Omaha Road, Roanoke, AL 36274.
