Obituary of James D Norred
Funeral services for James Darrow Norred, age 54, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, at 4:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mark Brand officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-4:00 PM on Friday before services begin.
Mr. Norred passed away Monday, November 22, 2021.
Survivors include: two daughters, Amanda Norred of Wedowee and Michelle Atkins of Roanoke; two sons, David Ryan Atkins of Illinois and Phillip Matthew Norred of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; and one sister, Pam Towler of Indiana.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Blackmon, Brian Elkins, Dale Meeks, Glenn Hill, Kyle Taft, and Kevin Pike.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Norred was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 13, 1967, the son of Olin Benford and Barbara Ann Stephens Norred. He was a member of Handley Ave Church of God and was a cattle farmer. Mr. Norred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Norred.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
