Obituary of Norma Jean Farrar

Funeral services for Norma Jean Farrar, age 75, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Sis. Denise White officiating.  Burial will follow at Standing Rock Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Mrs. Farrar passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include: three daughters, Lori Wellborn, Angela Oberts, and Sherri Simons, all of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Thomas of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be A. J. Stephens, Adam Pender, Cayden Stephens, Chandler Puckett, Randal East, and Hunter Stephens.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Farrar was born on September 25, 1946, the daughter of James Barner and Artie Brown Fincher.  She worked as a stocker at Walmart.  Mrs. Farrar was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Amos “Smokey” Farrar; one daughter, Tina Pender; one brother, Donnie Fincher; and three sisters, Voncile Cummings, Barbara Blackmon, and Vernette Smith.
