Obituary of Shirleen Anne Knowles

Funeral services for Shirleen Anne Knowles, age 63, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tyler Worthey officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Mrs. Knowles passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Knowles; two daughters, Jessica Knowles of Salt Lake City, UT, and Jennifer Harper (Josh) of Roanoke; one sister, Janeen Amason (Marc) of Kennesaw, GA; and one brother, Randy Stephens (Wanda) of Birmingham.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Worthey, Eddie Windsor, Tim Frye, Charles Mote, Greg Harper, and Josh Harper.  The Trinity Baptist Choir will serve as honorary pallbearers.

A Randolph County resident most of her life, Mrs. Knowles was born in Lafayette, Alabama, on April 25, 1958, the daughter of Jessie B. and Cornelia “Anita” Bridges Stephens.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and worked as a ward clerk and monitor technician at Randolph County Hospital for 33 years.  Mrs. Knowles was preceded in death by her parents.
