Obituary of Paul Gwen Moon

OBITUARY Funeral services for Mr. Paul Gwen Moon, of Roanoke, age 85, will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 12, 2009, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Burke officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 11, 2009. Mr. Moon died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at William F. Green Veterans Home. Survivors include daughter, Wanda (husband Scott) Brasseal of Ashland; one son, Paul Randy (wife Jackie) Moon of Opelika; one sister, Betty Ruth Brand of Huguley; three grandchildren, Jason Moon, Brian (wife Jeanne) Brasseal, Wesley (wife Bonnie) Brasseal; two great grandchildren, Kathryn Brasseal and Paul Brasseal. Mr. Moon was born October 24, 1924, the son of Ira Trent and Ruth Moon. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, had worked at Lanette Bleach & Dye Works, served in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Moon was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Moree Moon; and his parents.
