Obituary of Howard Marvin Manley

Funeral services for Howard Marvin Manley, age 89, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Josh Hickman officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Mr. Manley passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at his home.

Survivors include his daughter, Melinda Manley Teta (John David) of Birmingham, AL; son, Howard “Hawk” Scott Manley of Roanoke, AL; granddaughter, Samantha Kay Teta; and several nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Luke Sudduth, Everett Hall, Alan Manley, Jake Snow, Mark Manley, and Gary Manley.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Manley was born September 10, 1932, the son of Richard Marvin and Eris Sudduth Manley. He was a Korean War veteran and retired after 40 years as a signal inspector for CSX Railroad. He was a member of Roanoke First Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sue Scott Manley; sister, Frances Manley Callaway; three brothers, R.M. Manley, Robert Manley, and Donald Manley; and one nephew, Brian Manley.
