Obituary of Sarah Udine Veal

Funeral services for Sarah Udine Veal, age 91, of Roanoke, AL, will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Sid Shelnutt officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

Mrs. Veal passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Traylor’s Nursing Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Virgil Veal (Alice) of Roanoke, and Mike Veal (Roxie) of LaGrange, GA; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Cutine Waugh of Tallahassee, FL, and Linda Phillips (Joel) of Franklin, GA.

Pallbearers will be Clint Veal, Clay Veal, Blake Gilmore, Chad Veal, Cody Veal and Bo Veal.

A Franklin, Georgia, native, Mrs. Veal was born January 7, 1931, the daughter of Brince and Seba Dell Nation Noles.  She was a seamstress for Playtex as well as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Carie Veal; one granddaughter, Kaycee Gilmore and one sister, Gwen Stewart.
