Darlene Whatley, age 62, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer N. Barajas of Newnan, GA; one son, Michael Bailey of Roanoke; one sister, Jackie Smith of Sharpsburg, GA; one sister-in-law, Nancy Hinson of Roanoke; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A native of Anniston, Alabama, Mrs. Whatley was born October 29, 1959, the daughter of James E. and Bobbie J. Brice Henson. She had been employed as a service attendant with a gasoline station/convenience store. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce E. Whatley; one daughter, Tami Bailey; and one brother, Eugene Hinson.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
