Obituary of Carolyn Elliott Sayers

OBITUARY Funeral services for, Carolyn Sayers, age 78, of Wadley, will be held 10:30 am, Friday, March 23, 2012, from Abanda Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Vaughn and Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial to follow in Wadley City Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Pallbearers will be Lynn Coker, Bennett Wheeles, Cele Martinez, Ryan Marlowe, Randy Hadden and Michael Gibson. Mrs. Sayers died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Sayers is survived by two sons, Craig (wife Vaughn) Elliott of Wadley, Scott (wife Jill) Elliott of Fayetteville, GA; six grandchildren, Jeni Elliott, Scotti Cameron Elliott, Ryan and Taylor Marlowe, Michael Gibson and Randy Hadden; four great grandchildren, Katlyn and Madison Hadden, Blake and Sellers Gibson; cousin, Sherry Pollard Quattlebaum. Mrs. Sayers was born January 28, 1934, the daughter of Ezra Napoleon and Letha Verna Lovvorn Green. She had been a cosmetology teacher for the State of Alabama Vocation Institute. Mrs. Sayers was preceded in death by two spouses, John Milton "Bill" Elliott, and John Wayne Sayers; one grandson, John Wallace Elliott. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
