Sadly I am just finding out about Curtis’s passing of last May. I grew up with Curtis and his half brother BB Slay who was my cousin. We spent many good times when the boys came to Mendenhall, MS to visit relatives during the summers. Curtis was also like a cousin. I remember the time when I met both Curtis & BB in McComb @ their last class reunion they went to. BB & Curtis drive over from AL in BB’s white 67 Mustang. They took me on a thrill ride in the car and they had a blast scaring me, although it was on a back road less traveled so knew they wouldn’t put our lives in danger. I remember Curtis’s wit and caring personality. The last time I got to see him was @ BB’s funeral. Curtis was sweet enough to adopt BB’s German shepherd @ that time. We talked often thru out the past yrs. I am so sorry to know that he has passed as we hadn’t talked in awhile since before he died. I had wondered why I wasn’t able to get in touch with him. May he r.i.p with his parents and brother till we meet again. Love always, Pammie H. Noble

Dear Slay Family - My heart breaks for you in all you have been through recently. I know Curtis has suffered, and I'm glad he is at peace. I know you will miss him tremendously. My remembrance is of Curtis as our son, Jonathan's, Sunday School teacher when Jonathan was only about 3 years old. Curtis was SO good with him. Jonathan adored him. Our prayers are with you.
