Obituary of Patrick James Smith
Funeral services for Patrick James Smith, age 38, of Wadley will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donald Jones and Bro. Keith Benefield officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM on Wednesday before services begin.
Mr. Smith passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, in Wadley.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Wanda DuBose of Wadley, two brothers, Timothy DuBose (Darcy) and Daniel DuBose all of Wadley; grandmothers, Sally Carson and Clara Royster both of Roanoke; nieces and nephews, Bryant, Waylon, Amanda, and Autumn DuBose all of Wadley; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel DuBose and Timmy DuBose.
A Randolph County all of his life, Mr. Smith was born on September 8, 1983, the son of Oliver Smith and Wanda Royster DuBose. He was Christian by faith and attended Midway Full Gospel church. Mr. Smith had worked as an inspector at Interface and as a Knap Cleaner at Mohawk. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan and also liked fishing. He graduated from Wadley High School in 2003. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Smith; grandparents, Carroll Royster, Fred and Betty DuBose, and Ed and Nadine Smith; and an uncle, Lamar Williamson.
