OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Rufus Leon Alsabrook, age 92, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 31, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. S. T. Janney and Rev. Jackie Simmons officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 30, 2012.
Pallbearers will be Barrett Shelnutt, Mark Mitchell, Scott Woody, Emmett Smith, Scott Willingham, and Barry Hammond.
Mr. Alsabrook died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Lineville Nursing Home.
Mr. Alsabrook is survived by his wife, Gertie Mae Alsabrook; three nephews; six nieces.
Mr. Alsabrook was born April 15, 1919, the son of Martin Luther and Mary Frances Young Alsabrook. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church and had worked for Callaway Mills and Candlewick Yarns. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Arrington, Allie Alsabrook; four brothers, Ervin, Eddie, Charlie and J. R. Alsabrook. Flowers will be accepted or donation to Beulah Baptist Church, c/o Donald Alsabrook, 962 Co. Rd. 632, Roanoke, Al 36274.
