Obituary of Wylodene Graham Bates
Wylodene Graham Bates, age 90, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bates, also of Knoxville, TN.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bates was born on July 22, 1931, the daughter of John Robert and Dovie Odessa Graham. She worked for the Bellsouth Telephone Company in Montgomery before retiring. Mrs. Bates was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce Bates; six sisters; and four brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 22478. Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to Big Springs Baptist Church at 5439 County Road 56, Woodland, AL 36280.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
