Obituary of Gertie Mae Alsabrook
Graveside services for Gertie Mae Alsabrook, age 92, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Mr. John Glass and Mrs. Lyn Perry officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Alsabrook passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Traylor’s Nursing Home in Roanoke.
A Heard County native, Mrs. Alsabrook was born on June 16, 1930, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Buttrum Norwood. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and worked as a garment factory inspector at Roanoke Fashions. Mrs. Alsabrook was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rufus Alsabrook; infant child, John Rufus Alsabrook; and eight brothers and sisters.
