Obituary of Betty Jane Kirby Moon
Graveside services for Betty Jane Kirby Moon, age 80, of Roanoke, will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Rock Stand Congregational Christian Church Cemetery with Bro. Tyler Worthey officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moon passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Roanoke Healthcare.
Survivors include her children Melissa (Eric) Seemann of Madison, AL and Karrell Moon of Vancouver, British Columbia and two grandchildren, Lillian Catherine Seeman and Eric Alexander Seeman, II.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Moon was born on February 27, 1942, the daughter of Jadie and Mildred Taylor Kirby. She was a member of Sandy Creek Congregational Christian Church and was a housewife. Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Travis Moon; a granddaughter, Lindsey Moon; four sisters, Frances Kirby Bailey, Joyce Prince, Martha Murphree, and Mildred Ann Kirby; and one brother, Austin Kirby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
