Funeral services for Kenneth Kirby, age 69, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Greg Norred and Bro. Jeff Selfield officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM CST on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Mr. Kirby passed away Saturday, September 16, 2022, in Carrollton, GA.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Kirby; son, Kenneth Scott Kirby (and friend, Kimberly Harris); grandchildren, Kent Kirby (Linda), Hannah Bell (Dontay), Kailey Burns (J.T.), and Eli Adamson; great-grandchildren, Karson Bell, Keenan Bell, and Jackson Kirby; and sister, Ellen Bassett.

Pallbearers will be Danny Parmer, Wayne Parmer, John Glass, Gary Gillespie, Mike Brewer, and Rusty Guizar.

Mr. Kirby was born in Langdale, AL, on April 2, 1953. He is the son of David and Sue Benefield Kirby. Mr. Kirby proudly served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a plant manager for 15 years at Orbitron South, then did maintenance for Laws Mechanical where he later retired. Mr. Kirby was a member of Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene. He was a family man, who loved his wife and family above all else. Mr. Kirby and his wife enjoyed spending time together travelling on his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Alabama football fan. He enjoyed hunting, especially coon hunting, which he did competitively for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Abbi Michelle Kirby; one brother, Phil Kirby; and one brother-in-law, Truman Bassett.

Memorial may be floral.
