Obituary of Hazel Robertson

Funeral services for Hazel Robertson, age 88, of Rock Mills will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Rock Mills United Methodist Church with Bro. Ray Weaver and Bro. Tim Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Tuesday before services begin. Mrs. Robertson will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Tuesday.

Mrs. Robertson passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at her residence.

Survivors include: two daughters, Patricia Halsey of Opelika and Mary Beth Earnest (Stanley) of Rock Mills; one son, Jeff Robertson (Candice) of Rome, GA; four grandchildren, Rachel Dauber, Amanda Baker, Ian Robertson, and Micaela Robertson; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald Stephens of Newnan, GA.

Pallbearers will be Brent Robertson, Kevin Robertson, Mike Robertson, Tony Robertson, Cal Green, and Bill Caypless. Keith Towler and Donnie Smith will serve as honorary pallbearers.

A Newnan, Georgia native, Mrs. Robertson was born on March 28, 1934, the daughter of Buford Glenn and Viola Hubbard Stephens.  She was a member of Rock Mills United Methodist Church and worked as a seamstress for Lamar Manufacturing.  Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W. L. Robertson; a grandchild, Ephrem Robertson; and son-in-law, Shannon Halsey.
